Contact the Buena Vista Town Trustees and write to the newspaper:

Tell them why they should support the First Amendment.  Express your support of Mayor Russell's service to the Town of Buena Vista. Speak during the public comment period of the town council meeting on Nov. 25 (show up before 7 p.m. to sign up).

Donate to the Mayor's Defense Fund:

The Mayor Defense Fund is registered with the Colorado secretary of state.

Your (non-tax-deductible) contribution to Mayor Defense Fund  is very much needed and appreciated.

Cara Russell makes just $100 a month as mayor of Buena Vista, and her legal costs are not covered by the town’s insurance. The costs will be financially difficult for her family without your help.

All contributions will go strictly to Cara Russell’s legal costs, through our authorized agent/trustee. Any remaining funds not used to this end, if any, will be returned to the donors on a percentage basis. Should they not want these funds back, they will be donated to one or more charities to be selected at the time of dissolution. If the amount of contributions received exceeds Cara's expenses, we will post a notice here.
